Welcome to CleanMyCityMy name is Dan. I created CleanMyCity.org to bring together people who have a passion for making a difference in our world. I want to encourage others to do something helpful for our planet. The idea came from three things that I am interested in. First, I always thought it would be cool to get a large group of people together on a weekend to clean up the streets of litter. Second, I recycle everything I possibly can. And third, I have always been a fan of plants since I grew carrots and corn in my family's backyard garden as a kid. Those three things helped me form this web site. I hope that it inspires you to do something positive for our world. CleanMyCity.org is basically my way of reaching out to see how many other people are interested in doing something positive for our cities. The best part is that it really does not matter what city you live in. Every city on this planet deserves to have people going out of their way to care for it. Ideally more people will come together to do positive things, and more people will realize that we cannot keep trashing our world. At some point we have be more responsible. Just the fact that you are reading this shows that the idea is worthwhile, thank you for showing up. |

CleanMyCity.org is a work in progress and I look forward to growing it over time with the suggestions and submissions of our members. We encourage people to join up and post blogs about what they are doing to help their cities even something as simple as your daily, weekly, monthly recycling habits or when you participate in clean up events around your city. I believe that the more people post and talk about what they are doing to help clean our cities, the more other people will be motivated to do their part as well. One of the main goals of this website and online community is to promote the values and activities that will lead more people to being responsible and taking care of our planet, city by city. It is also important that we bring together people who are willing to give their time to participate in clean-up and planting events around our cities. CleanMyCity.org looks forward to funding clean-up and planting events in and around our cities with the donations that we receive from people all over the world.
